Global Antibiotic Research & Development Partnership (GARDP) and REVIVE
The growing concern over drug-resistant bacterial infections is coupled with a troubling slowdown in the discovery and development of new treatments. Many companies and academic laboratories have discontinued their work in antimicrobial research and development (R&D), raising the risk of losing valuable expertise in this critical field.
Collaborating with a range of partners from the public, private, and non-profit sectors, the Global Antibiotic Research & Development Partnership (GARDP) GARDP aims to preserve and apply valuable knowledge for future generations. To address this goal, GARDP’s Scientific Affairs team has launched a series of initiatives aimed at reconnecting experienced researchers with those currently in the field, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing. One of the key platforms supporting this effort is REVIVE, an online resource launched in January 2018, and designed to promote the exchange of information and provide educational materials related to antimicrobial research and development.
REVIVE offers a variety of freely accessible resources, including:
- Webinars, live and recorded;
- Antimicrobial Viewpoint Articles from experts in the field;
- Antimicrobial Encyclopaedia and Library;
- Open-access Online Conferences to share and discuss the latest findings;
- Archived Conference Recordings.
