This meeting will be a unique opportunity to bring together  medical and non-medical microbiologists  working on Bacteriology, Virology, and Mycology worldwide, in order to share and discuss the most recent advances and future perspectives in microbiology.

IUMS 2024 is set to present an extensive scientific program, including a wide array of topics and trends within the realms of Microbiology, with a particular focus on its three main divisions (Bacteriology, Applied Microbiology, Virology, and Mycology and Eukaryotic Microbiology), including:

• effect of climate change;
• global warming;
• clinicians involvement;
• new technologies and innovations;
• cutting-edge science;
• microbiome;
• host pathogen interactions;
• pandemics.

The 2024 IUMS meeting will be a chance to increase awareness of the importance of microbes for the society and for the planet by discussing how we can actively work together to promote sustainable solutions to preserve microbial diversity and maximize global well-being.
